The Macallan — The Spirit of 1926

The Macallan has released a global campaign film, The Spirit of 1926, revealing the real-life story of former managing director Janet Harbinson, who in 1926 crafted what would become the most valuable bottle of wine or spirit ever sold at auction  The Macallan Fine & Rare 1926.

To create the eight-minute biopic, which stars British-American actress Emily Mortimer, the brand collaborated with an exceptional array of leading creative talent including acclaimed director Mike Newell, whose credits include Four Weddings and a Funeral and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and award-winning screenwriter Allan Scott, whose credits include the Netflix series The Queen's Gambit.
